Lessons with me, especially at this point, involve learning how to play like me, or do what I do, within the context of common, contemporary music literature (rock, funk, jazz, blues, pop, etc. tunes). You will receive an accurate assessment of your playing abilities in order to apply the proper materials presented in the proper sequence with which to learn from. Materials usually include the playing of songs, lead-playing, reading notation, understanding the theory and history of most genres.
With current technology, many sources of information relating to guitar and learning guitar are very easily accessible. However, what is missing from these sources is an accurate assessment of one’s playing abilities within the context of one’s tastes, goals, and learning tendencies. There are millions of videos on YouTube, a plethora of teaching websites, and yet none of these sources are able to sit down with you and see what is really going on and from there proceed in a logical, helpful manner. This is something very important and missing, and this is what I provide. This is what is different between learning on the internet and learning from me in a private lesson.
